No fancy resorts. No postcard jungles. Just real wilderness, full of dust trails, alarm calls, and a tiger that might cross the road when least expected. Welcome to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve—where the thrill isn’t dressed up, it just is.
October to June is open season, but March to May is peak time for tiger sightings—just be ready for serious heat. Monsoon (July to September) shuts the park for safaris.

Tadoba is split into Core and Buffer zones—both are wild, but Core gets the attention.
Core Zones (Limited entries, high demand):
Moharli – Most famous, top chance of tiger sightings
Kolara – Scenic, great for photography
Navegaon – Peaceful and underrated
Buffer Zones (Less crowded, still wild):
Devada-Adegaon
Agarzari
Junona
Ramdegi
Zari
Pangdi
This is tiger territory—but it’s not just about stripes.
Royal Bengal Tigers – Bold, often seen near roads
Indian leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs (dholes)
Gaur (Indian bison), sambar, chital
Crocodiles, mongoose, and rare reptiles
Over 195 bird species—serpent eagles, owls, parakeets
By Air
Nagpur Airport (around 140 km) is the closest and best connected. From there, cabs head toward the park’s popular gates like Moharli and Kolara.
By Train
Chandrapur Railway Station (about 45 km) is nearest, with good connections to Nagpur, Hyderabad, and Delhi.
By Road
Well-connected by road from Nagpur, Chandrapur, and nearby towns. Gates like Moharli, Kolara, and Navegaon serve as main entry points.
Tadoba isn’t polished. It’s pure jungle. If raw adventure is the goal, this is one of the best bets. The tiger doesn’t just walk here—it owns it.
